Very important, to water like this you must have soil that drains properly, this way the water left in soil is a prime amount!!

Drainage quality is based on how un compacted and compactible the medium is. basically if you water and takes longer than 10 seconds to absorb into soil its poor aeration/drainage

And you should have an intake fan and exhaust fan, as well as atleast on fan thatreplicates wind and helps with preventing pests and molds and stimulates strong/ big root systems

Poor drainage/ cement like soil is shit and makes the growth of roots/ amount of oxygen for roots minimal. This creates slow unhealthy growth, also prevents root rot which slowly suffocates your plant basically.

I had an exhaust and intake fan hooked up with a window to a temperature controller that triggers at 83 degrees and turns off at 82 degrees which cycles infinitely, but I just set the exhaust to turn on once every 5 minutes for one minute as per your suggestions (200cfm attached to a 6" filter) and left the intake and ac hooked into the controller (400cfm 5000btu attached to 6" filter)

Also what would I get to get rid of pests? I have neem oil but theirs like fruit flies or something and they won't fly into the big zapper and the neem oil doesn't kill them. I think it's because of the humidity now that theirs a saturated pot in there. And their more attracted to the 247 lights that are on.

Intake/ outtake need to be running 24/7, temp should be more like 75 max, miracle grow is over rated, yes ph matters in any circumstance, wanna be anywhere 5.8 to 6.8, sound like you need to do a bunch of research like your doing now but more through google, you learn so much from videos on YouTube is unreal, keep asking questions and youtube/google any issue. Learn so much. But anyway, pests? Many products to choose, i use 1tsp( 5ml )hydrogen peroxode to 125ml water. Works good for aphids and others so far. Neem oil is a good one too for some pests. I dont know that much about pest control.

If you need ac in a small tent with one light then you dont have proper air flow most likely, what lighting are you using? Can you post pics of entire room? Should have intake at the bottom of tent and outtake at the top, pulling the hot air out.

But if ac in there is keeping perfect temp then leave it as is. I just feel with the right amount of air being moved should be ok but depends on temp of intaked air too. Experiment like your doing with a bigger air intake fan or fan placements, shouldnt have to have ac for small grows.
One way I use to judge water in a pot is to fill a pot with soil and feel how it weighs. w pick up the pot a t plan in it and feel. The plant should get water when it approaches the weight of the one wet soil. Show us a pic of the healthy parts please, where the new growth is forming. A good top pic maybe.

Where are you drawing your intake air from? Outside fresh air or air from outside grow tent?
