White Widow Flowering Times: Trichome Stages In Relation To Harvest Peak THC/CBD

Hey Guys. First time ever in a forum not as a guest. guess i finally got over my paranoia of "big brother watching" haha. anyways im day 42 of flowering on my first white widow grow. unsure of genetics or seedbank origins as i purchased clones through a friend of a friend. anyways ive had a few hiccups adapting to this strain and ive found so much info regarding white widow but also so much controversy. lets get down to it. as of today, day 42 in Bud, i feel they still have a ways to go till finish. this is stemmed from both personal experience with various other strains as well as tons of online research. anyways my buddy says its a 8-9 week finisher. if so id be starting flush around day 45-46 and finishing around day 56-63. the buds look as tho they have a month left maybe more. research has told me you can go up to 14 weeks with a widow for yield and body high and cbd production; or harvest starting at week 8 for a more "euphoric" uplifting high. i am growing for medical use so it would appear i should go longer rather than shorter but that being said i am also concerned for a kind of balance between optimal yield and peak potency. ive done alot of research and wish there was a "White Widow for Dummies" book for this and new strains we growers experiment with, alas there is not so i come to you fellow horticulturists for advice.

Flowering Setup:
3 x 1000 hps @ 12on 12off
Promix Soiless potting mix in 3 gallon pots
environmental controls (airflow, exchange, heat, cold and humidity) 30-40% humidity, night temp 17c, day temp 26c.
Water PH @ 5.8-6.2
Advanced Nutrients PH perfect sensi A and B (@ 1000ppm currently, Started at 600ppm),
Bud Blood week 1 and 2 as directed,
Big Bud weeks 3-6 (200ppm on top of base nutrients),
Overdrive weeks 6 thru start of flushing (200-250ppm on top) tapering off nearer flush time.
un-sulphured molasses starting week 3 @ 2 tbsp per gallon (woulda been throughout whole grow but i just found out about it).
i adjust as i go this is just so u can get an idea of what im doing. anyways sorry for the book. woulda been longer im sure but my girlfriend kept coming in to see what i was so furiously pecking at my computer for. anyways thanks in advance guys. now i gotta post some pics for u guys to have the full picture. photographers loup coming soon for better pics.

Re: White Widow - Flowering Times - Trichome Stages In Relation To Harvest - Peak THC

Hi BC I'm keeping an eye on this thread if it's ok? I'll be looking for the same answers in about 10 weeks.

Hi BC,

I know it may be hard to remember, but just wondering how your white widow babies turned out?

I'm currently on day 41 of flowering and I'm thinking the same thing you thought, they could go another 3-4 weeks. This is my first grow ever, and seem to be running into some yellowing problems which i don't know if that is normal at this stage or not.

How long did you end up letting them flower for and when did you start your flush? Would you do anything different?
