Here I go with my first hydrogrow.
Factors I had to keep in mind: Space, cost to buy, cost to run, ease of operation, and lastly, I really don't know what I'm doing!
So after doing a lot of research here and on the web, I came upon this setup decision:
32"WX32"DX64"T Grow tent (Ebay $60)
Hydrofarms Megagarden (Ebay $90)
Sun System Non-vented hood with built in ballast, Max 250W MH Bulb (Free)
What strain is it? Bag seed
Is it in Veg or Flower stage? Veg, 18/6
Indoor or outdoor? Indoor
Soil or Hydro? Hydro
Size of light? 250W MH
Is it aircooled? No
Temp of Room/cab? ave 73.5F
RH of Room/cab? 60's
PH of media or res? 5.9-6.0
Any Pests ? No
How often are you watering? 2 per 18 hr cycle for 15 mins
Type and strength of ferts used?
I am using GH Flora, Grow, and Bloom, and earth juice catalyst in the following concentrations:
1st column is ML per gal
2nd is ML per 5 gal
V = Veg
F = Flower
# = Week

I do not have pics yet but I should have some up after I buy myself a new camera for christmas!
I have my light set 16" from the tops of my plants. I did not use nutes for the first week after putting the seedlings in with the hydroton. I started the week two nutes this am and will monitor the little ones till then.
