Superlemon Haze - Drip Irrigation - HID - 2011

So I'm at week 6.3 of a 9-10 week strain. and as you know I......

fuck it, i've only got one subscriber anyway... yo OMM, when you grew SLH when did your fan leaves start to yellow off and die? last strain I grew started to shed fan leaves at week 7 of 8. i guess it's kinda the same time into a flower period.. I'm just worried they're dying off too soon.

I'm pretty sure it's gonna harvest at week 9, not 10. but I don't want to stress them in their final weeks. I'm flushing for over-ferting, cause i noticed some brown spots, i figured nutrient lockup. but only a few plants are showing major yellowing. the others seem normal, only yellowing and shedding on lower light starved branches..... but I'm worried..

also most of my nugs are showing 35%-50% red hairs now, but i think i might have induced the change with some ph high foliar spray. I didn't realize the PH was so high when i started spraying.
some guidance, my friend, would be excellent, and much appreciated.

in exchange, some fresh bud porn. taken today.

I see that your slh is packing on weight like mine. I have 6 slh plants. I'm into my 39th day of flower. so we are just days apart. You need a mircoscope to look at the trichs. That will tell you when its time to chop chop. Don't go by the color of the hairs on the plants. As for foliar spray sorry man but I have no expierience on that as is this is my first grow. Have you decide wich method to dry for bud?

Hi Buddy! Now there are three of us! With my SLH she did like yours are doing, yellowing leaves almost as soon as they started budding up. If you really want to find out more info on SLH look at my collective SLH grow below.
One thing we found out is there are more than one genotype and they all are different. Take a look and see what I mean. :)

7 weeks into bud is pretty normal for a plant to start losing leaves so I wouldn't worry there. Your buds are getting huge and look great, I would just keep doing what you're doing. I can't wait till my SLH is blooming, right now she's just in veg.

good to hear. I think one plant might just be ahead of the rest by a week for some reason. IS that even possible? I am hoping to squeeze in one more week of nutes before I start to flush for harvest. But if the yellow bitch wants to keep talking shit I might have to start flushing now.

I'm done the 3 day flush for over ferting today. so I'm gonna switch her onto week 7 nutes right now. But I'm gonna dilute them a bit. I'm not sure the SLH likes the 6grams/20L Bud Boom (0-40-23)..... although thats lighter than the 5grams/10L Tons O Bud (0-49-32) that it replaced at week 5 (when they were still all green)

I'm just gonna mix 40L worth of nutes and immidiately dilute it with another 10-20L of straight water.....

What do you SLH guys think? I've heard she's hyper sensitive to nutes, but the source that said that said i shouldn't nute them for the first 3 weeks of life. but I nuted the hell out of them thier whole lives, and they didn't start to dislike it until week 5 of flower....

glaring spelling errors...... don't care. I'm going to play in my tree house.

nice set up, cant wait to see that system fill out and bud

yo drama-king, lol, I been watching since jan,

looking pornalicious

man i don't know what i should do. almost all of my hairs are red now on a few plants. no 50/50. but they haven't really receded into the nugs. I'm only at week 6.7 of a 9-10 weeker, but the way the nugs look my instinct is telling me to start flushing them.
I'm trying to get a last week of feeding in, and get week 7 finished before I start to flush. but I'm not sure what I should do.

Man I need a microscope.

yeah the last 2-3 weeks is the best time for the buds to really mature and get potent. Give it at least 9 weeks and then see where she is. The longer you go, the more sativa that will come out in the finished product.

S13 I'm on day 41 flowering of my (6) slh and I don't have that much yellowing as you do. Its improtant in hydro and aerponics that you keep your ph in its sweet spot. I've been anal on mine during the flowe period only because its my first time and I'm trying to minimize my mistakes. Don't forget to calibrate your ph meter often. So far the only problem I really had with my slh was it was taking in more water than nutes wich caused my ppm to rise. So I backed down on the nutes. Hairs will not tell you if your plants are ready. The trichs will. Some of my slh plants have started to form red hairs. Good luck man and take care of your girls.

yeah i'm just woried i'll have yellow nugs by the time i harvest if i wait until 10 weeks. a few of the plants are shedding yellow fan leaves ALL THE WAY at the top of the plant. not completely, but when you tug lightly on the yellower ones they come right off

It's normal my friend. When I harvested my Skunk#1 she didn't have fan leaf on her! :)

I hope so OMM. I've almost decided to start flushing now, and leave them on straight PH balanced water for the last 2-3 weeks. I'm worried that if they go too yellow, the plants won't be able to photosynthesize the nutes into sugars properly to keep them growing.

If i remember correctly, they need the green chlorophyll to absorb light properly, don't they? will they get enough light off just the bud leaves?

Hi Buddy.:)

I just looked at your pictures, they look great, that's allot of leaves you have left. I really wouldn't worry about them. Personally I would wait until the last week or two to flush. However keeping a watch on your pH is a good thing and must be done. Flushing gets rid of the salt build up which is good, but it also washes your nutes away too. I think you will be OK! Personally I like the fan leaves to fall off, makes them much easier to trim. :grinjoint:
