yes another newb is effing up his mother plant!

I'm sure this has been answered many times, sorry.
All the new growth is yellow but many have green edges.
Does this mean they were healthy green and I wasn't noticing, then I did something and turned 'em yellow?

I think you have multiple problems at the same time. I think your plant is deficient in Micronutrients such as Iron. You are better off top dressing with something like OC+ that has all of the macro and micronutrients your plant will need. You might only have to supplement with Cal/Mag. You might also have some sort of nute lockout. What is your pH?

pH is 6.5 if I can trust this Rapidtest meter.
I found too much variation in pH papers to trust them either.

What is reliable way to test? Thanks for any comments.

My water is from a spring without municipal chems, and is pH 7.7 with calcium from limestone.

My clones have all died. pH there is 7.7. I guess the plant food lowered the pH.
