So i heard that wal-mart stores and Distibution centers will be starting random drug and alcohol tests. Any one know anythin about this? What tests? How many required a month?

THey say random but is not...The only time you will get tested is after your interview, or ifyou get hurt on the job. I used to work at WalMart...I know =]

Well i just got spooked cuz i work at a DC now and on my 3rd day of work they said they were just enacting it...They bluffing? I passed the one before they called and sed i was hired. how much does a piss test ( 9 panel ) run them? probly group rates too i imagine lol

Walmart has enough money to piss test their employees everyday all day....They wont do it, half their employees would be gone. I was an unloader and all we used to do after we unloaded the trucks was smoke blunts outside by the dock and drink beers in the back of the parking lot...Walmart was so awsome back in the day =]

My good friend works at walmart and he has only been drug tested after his interview and he's been there almost 3 years with no pee test.
The whole idea of them testing for a job there is fascist and criminal at best. Do they do hangover tests? You are more likely to be injured by a drunk, by far. If they tell you it's time, tell em you have a urinary infection and you will take it tomorrow. Then get a bottle of detox fom gnc and drink it an hour before the test. As far as I know, it has never failed.

I got some special tea that i drink, but i like the idea of th UTI and taking it the following day. Is there a legal way to bring up Home Use vs. Impared on the Job? Cuz i work at walmart 3 days a week.......who are they to tell me that i cant smoke on my days off? ............fuckers.....

Hypothetically, if the state you're in didn't have MMJ laws, then they figure if you'll break the law to smoke Cannabis then you'll break the law and fill the pockets of your winter jacket with new electronic gear on your way out to your car at night. Or, since your smoke it you're an addict and will do anything to get it, including stealing from your employer to pawn for cash so you can get your daily fix of Marihuana. Or the stuff you smoked last night or last weekend is impairing you in some way that can be a safety hazard or cause you to be less efficient or do low quality work. All to which I cry bullpucky.

Plus there gonna do a random alcohol test too. Bull shit, Bullshit, BULLSHIT! Invasion of personal time!

Maybe you could try the special detox elixer and then do a self test. If it works then at least you don't have to worry about it much, if they do choose you for a test.

My thoughts exactly, but how do you tell an employer like WM "I smoke at home not at work, so fuck off" ? Does anyone have experiences with randoms? Do they escort you to the lab or what? Is there a window of opprotunity for a quick chugg?

Randoms can happen in many ways. Some companies will deliver you to the lab. Some companies have their own labs on premise. Others will give you two hours to get to the lab. If you are really lucky, someone will tip you off and you have time to react.
Unless you have the time to use the detox before a urine test, I would hope you have a container and use someone else's. Or have sythetic urine.
If it's a saliva test, it's the easiest to pass. It can take as little as a few hours after use, or as long as 48 hours.Many randoms are given after vacations or holidays.
I don't like them either, but if none of those things will work in your situation, I feel like FN, consider it an opportunity. You will be leaving with experience learned, and it can help it move you forward into an even better job.
Also, it's a lot easier for your boss to intimidate or threaten randoms to keep you from smoking. It's a lot easier to blow smoke out of their rear, then for a company to pay millions for drug testing.
If you are in a safety sensitive job, it's a different ball of wax. The maximum level are much lower.

I AM considered a safety sensitive employee cuz i ride a pallet jack all night.......so what kind of wax am i gettin into now? Arent the cutoffs still 50ng/ml?

Subbing with synthetic urine is the best way to be perpared for randoms. It just takes a plan and a little practice. And always remember. People can not pee on command. So just stall. You're getting paid by the hour anyway. These assholes don't like to spend money and this costs money. Just make them spend as much as you can.
