What Organic Based Fertilizer Should I Use?
Botanicare Pure Blend Pro / Botanicare Pure Blend and Foxfarm Big Bloom, lines work excellent as complete nutrient sources, due to their vastly different formulations.
Botanicare Pure Blend Pro is mainly composed of fishmeal and sea bird guano. This product is well composted and ph stabilized. It comes in 2-1.5-4 for vegetative and 1.5-4-5 for flowering. The regular Botanicare Pure Blend line is blood and bone meal, and earthworm castings based. It comes in 1-.5-1 for vegetative and .5-.5-1 for flowering. Of course, both of these lines could be mixed to create transitional formulas. Foxfarm Big Bloom is bat guano and earthworm castings based and offers a phosphorous boost in the final stages. None of these products produce noticeable odor and they are all pH stable over the long term.

I believe all these items are available on line. Try checking our sponsors - they carry a wide range of products, and you may find what you need. I know FF is available across the US. Your local hydro store will likely have it too.

I reccomend a dry mix called Pant-tone. It mixes with your soil in the initial mix, and lasts throughout the grow to provide natural, organic trace nutrients, and is available at wallyworld for about 8 bucks for a bag that mixes to about 100 gallons of soil.

Re: What Organic Based Fertilizer Should I Use?
What do you think about Biobizz, Moose? I have been using it for a little while now and have been impressed with it so far but, I'm just curious about what you think of it.
From what I've read about it, it is derived from molasses and seems to be very mild and non burning. I also like the fact that it has an exact weekly feeding schedule to fallow, which helps me to stay on track. |

Re: What Organic Based Fertilizer Should I Use?
I haven't used the Biobizz myself, but if you find it works for you, stick with it.
As for molasses, I do not use or recommend it. My only additive to flowering is fresh squeezed orange juice and sea tea. Fruit sugars are wonderful (fructose) and sea tea stimulates and promotes/prolongs flowering.

This stuff was developed by the Dutch and is designed specifically for marijuana. Maybe you should give it a try some time, so at least you can give an objective opinion when people ask about it. Just a thought, no sarcasm intended. I totally respect you too much to be that way towards you m8. ![]() |

Re: What Organic Based Fertilizer Should I Use?
Hey all...
I have something to add to the information about Fox Farm: Foxfarm Big Bloom is bat guano and earthworm castings based and offers a phosphorous boost in the final stages. I find using the big bloom with Fox Farms Tigerbloom is quite a combination. But since I have altered it a bit... I started to phase out the Big Bloom to replace that with my own bat guano tea...the guano is by Harvest Farms. The Big Bloom is for the most part bat guano tea and the Tiger Bloom is mostly worm castings and a wicked good source of trace elements and micro nutes. Now...I have a hard time getting anything from Fox Farm due to laws of organic materials being shipped to Canada... To get my Tiger bloom it just costs too much now! Searching my options to use what I am now in my journal. My buddy green acres is pretty happy with the Botanicare pro line, I like the looks of it so far! Cheers all

Biobizz seems to be very mild and MJ plants seem to love it...I know my plants seem to go crazy after a good feeding. Biobizz is specifically designed for cannabis plants by the dutch, so they have my vote, as they are on the cutting edge of cannabis technology.
