Should I turn out the lights?

Hi guys and gals. I am doing my first grow and using seeds that came in the local smoke. I recently moved and no longer have access to quality cannabis. Hence the grow. I am wondering how close I am to switching the light cycle. When it is time, should I go in increments or all at once to 12/12? If the first when do I switch to hps? I am using a cooled reflector hood with 1000watt bulbs. I have placed my order for quality seeds from Bonza. Figured it would be better to learn before I used the high dollar seeds. Pics below. Sorry they are sideways I gave up after 30 minutes of failure. lol

All at once. 12/12 will induce flowering.

You can make the flip whenever you like. Most people flip based on height restrictions.

I ended flipping the switch a few days after the post but thanks. Day 21 in flower. 9 of 17 were females. Looking like a decent yield. Time will tell!
