BURTON, MI — A marijuana wholesaler in Genesee County is a supplier to retailers across the state that are rewarding people for getting the COVID-19 vaccination.

UBaked, a cannabis cultivation facility in Burton, is the exclusive supplier of pre-rolled joints for The Greenhouse of Walled Lake’s program “Pot for Shots,” an incentive for people who got their COVID-19 vaccine to get a free pre-rolled marijuana joint.

The marijuana wholesaler supplied the Oakland County greenhouse with $25,000 worth of pre-rolled joints in a collective effort to thank those who have gotten the vaccine, Bob Dodge, UBaked CEO and owner, said.

“We’re getting close to 4,000,” Jerry Millen, owner of The Greenhouse of Walled Lake, said.

Customers interested in a free pre-rolled joint will need to provide their card that proves they’ve gotten their vaccine, he said, noting the program is scheduled to continue until the end of March.

The joints are one gram and packed with different strains such as Jungle Cake, Dosi-Woah, Ice Cream Cake and Slurricane.

“We thought it was another way to give back and kind of say thank you,” Brent cook, UBaked sales director, said.

In addition to marijuana, the cultivation center, which started in December 2019, also offers concentrates, edibles and a sublingual spray.

Since the program kicked off, it’s garnered international attention with news organizations such as the BBC, CNN and NBC reporting on the green incentive.
