New Michigan Medical Grower

I'm new to growing and could use some help. My closet is about 10x4, I have a 400 watt light and plan on growing from seed. I can legally grow up to 12 plants. My lil 1's just sprouted I keep the light about 18-24 inches above-em. is that to close. I plan on using soil, what type of nutrients should I use, most of the time I use mericale grow on my tamaters, corn, peppers and such but what's the best for weed. :thanks: I just want to twist up some bomb shit in a couple months if u know what I mean:rollit: Can any of you vets help a rookie out...:grinjoint: Thanks 4 ur support :peace:

50-100 watts per square foot is a good target. 1 square foot per plant at a minimum.

Place your lights as close to the plant as you can - hold you hand palm down where you are just touching the plant. Position the light as close as you can; where you can still hold your hand there without burning it.

read read read (see the link below). You have many other issues to consider, light leaks, smell, ventilation etc.

i wouldnt use MG for ANYTHING related to MJ. the soil sux and the nute products are very commercial. Follow master growers and you will notice NONE of them use MG. I used General Hydroponics and Fox Farm nutes-Fox Farm had GH beat, plus their Ocean Forest soil is something to swim in. Check around the net for discount gardening supplies. If you need something not ordered off the net. Head to Lowes for an Organic soil called "Jungle" it has a tiger on the bag. Make sure you grab some PERLITE (made by MG most likely on the shelf-lol) this will improove the airiation in the soil-MJ loves airey soil mixes...mix 2parts soil, 1part PERLITE and you got a nice startup soil that isnt too expensive! Good luck man!
