This is my first note in 4/20 magazine, i'm from Mexico city and i want to change my country. My goal is to make people realize the advantages of growing at home, not only cannabis, also other vegetables and fruits.
In Mexico cannabis is slowly being more accepted every day, mostly by young consumers who buy it illegally, like myself, But i decided to stop, i don't want to help organized crime for doing something that i love. Now i'm starting to grow weed for my own consumption and ill try to keep you informed of all my growing progress.
A few years ago i started a small movement on Facebook than never took off. I was trying to encourage people to start germinating seeds during the first months of the year, giving advice on how to do it and showing progress and pictures of how i do it. The main idea was, in 4/20, to put the plants in parks and terrains so they could grow by themselves and eventually get more people every year and fill up the entire city with cannabis. like i said, the project never took off.
Now i try to finish my studdings and i'm starting to try different methods to grow, not just weed, other vegs as well. I live in the suburbs of Mexico city, and as you may or may not know, Mexico is surrounded by mountains, so, in a nice clear day you can see from my roof all the city, and all those rooftops being wasted. I want to tell everyone to put some pots in there or even better, some NFT hydro systems and start growing some lettuces, tomatoes, weed or whatever they like the most.
I need money to start my project, so i do freelance work as a 3D artist, but i don't make enough, as soon as i get paid i spend it all on amazon or eBay, getting a new light, or some nutrients, some cool pots, seeds or whatever. If you are from Mexico, you probably know how hard is to get good products for home cultivation or hydroponics. first, to find anything it's almost imposible, and if you find what you where looking for, the prices are over the chart. Its hard to get everything you need.
My current goal is to make a greenhouse in my rooftop, document everything and start a kickstarter founding. like i said before, i want to help my country, i want to show people methods for cultivation and provide them the tools they need to do it. im not an expert in this matter, but i want to become one, and just from experience and videos online i've learned a lot, i want to share this knowledge and i want to learn much more. This is way i subscribed here, i hope to get to talk with best of the best and keep growing my mind as good as i grow my plants.
Cultivation has changed me, has changed the way i see the world and i hope it helps me change my country and the planet.
