I'd like to add that hydro has a way faster turn around time. And also requires a quite a bit less work with gardens that house anything over 15 plants.
a 99 plant grow takes a tremendous amount of soil preparation, potting, and disposal.
None of which are required with hydro. I've seen Hydro...
Hey I don't know anything about the facts you speak of... and of course I don't take offense. I'm here to learn and if I can, throw a word in every now and then.
I don't doubt for a moment that the sun is more potent than any indoor lighting... but i also don't know of any outdoor environment...
Mildew isn't "cured".
Its systemic, which means once your plants have it... they got it for life. You can manage it and keep it from running wild through your garden, but thats about it.
Sulfur burners, Neem oil, high pH'd water sprayed on leaves, or a 10% baking soda solution can help get rid...
Sorry I have been away... Harvest time.:yummy:
I Checked with a good friend of mine... he said to keep it under 48 of total darkness. I went about 36 or so.
Look for pics soon... Totally amazing!!!
I have 2 strains growing.. one a hybrid trainwreck strain and Purple Nepal.
All and any advice is welcome on how to finish'em up.
My plan was to take them off of all nutes in about 3 days... Just water with molasses, maybe use some hum tea, and kool bloom to the finish.
Send them to total...
wow...
the curling is an issue
you got one light for those plants?
I water almost every day... not every plant... i check them seperately, since most plants grow seperately at different times.
I mixed a combo of soils to get it to hold the amount of water i would like between waterings. I...
Couple things to add here.
1. Yes I cut nutrients... about ten days before end.
2. I do use Molasses through the end, but do not use extra water, so you can't exactly call it a "flush".
3. In order to detemermine strain quality, some seedbanks grow the plant without nutes.
4. At the end of...
Its a shame actually... Super dank, snow white, crystalline buds will sit by while a bag of nasty purple sells to high heaven. No one smokes anything before they buy it anymore... too bad really.
From wool ( or whatever medium) to 4x4 pots to 3 gal for me.
Try GHP it works, easy to use, hard to burn plants with. gives a good yeild with decent weight. Good luck.
Coco tends to absorb calcium.. if you see symptoms in your plants, it may be the coco absorbing the calcium from your nutes... in that case you'll need to throw more calcium at the grow medium so that your plant can get its share. Look for CalMag to supplement.
Thats a beautiful thing! Nice DIY. I'm impressed and inspired. If i didn't already have a grow room of substantial size i'd be trying to get the specs from you! nice work.
The vortex is loud.. especially if its a 6" H.O. unit. my 8" can fan is like a jet turbine... you got some good replies so far. To be safe... move it to the attic, run hose to the room, and then insulate the box and use insulated hose to bring the air into the bathroom... that will keep it quiet...
