I broke down.... to go along with my multiple, single cfl's I'm getting the dirt genius 240W LED veg light n the 240W flowering.

FuzzyDuck- awesome.. good to know! think I can use it straight from the protein skimmer? I'm concerned about active, bad bacterias. it is basically proteins/biological waste. I've read that if animal waste (manure, guano )is used, it should be dried out for 6 months first.

I have a nutrient question.... I've got a 90 gal fish tank with a protein skimmer underneath. this skimmer pulls all the biological ickies out of the water n collects it. these "ickies" are basically Nitrates. could I take nitrate-waste n mix into my soil? anyone else do that?

ok.... I am just not getting why so many people are still so concerned about Watts. watts are the measurement of how much power it uses to run the bulb. in the past- sure that made a difference because the more watts(power used)- the brighter the light(incandescent world), but with cfl's and...

I kno this is an old post... but thought I'd ask anyways. the equation n answer for the watts per square room were referenced with mh/hps lights. does this answer hold true for cfl's wattage also?
