4x2x5 tent... ideal lighting

i have a 400 mh, and a 400watt hps (currently has a new mh conv. bulb as i just today came across the 400 MH) im wondering if i should use both for veg, or 1 or run dual spectrum from start to finish or what would be ideal with what i have for a 4x2x5 tent?

I can only tell you what I do. I have a 400 watt ballast that runs both MH and HPS. I also have two 150 watt HPS. I use both HPS and MH for veg. When I swtch to 12/12 I continue to use MH until I see buds forming. Then I switch to all HPS.

Depends on how well you can spread the light out for even coverage, how tall you want to grow, how well you can control all that heat, what are your expectations......400 watt light works out to 50 watts per foot which is about right. If you can keep 800 watts cool it would give better coverage and bigger buds.

I have a 4x2x5 I have run 400w hps in that did great, and did 300w led in the same tent for close to the same yield as the 400w hps.
