Advice on pot size for first gen cuttings PLEASE

Hi all. I'm just about to start my first grow. My plan is to get 18 first gen cuttings from a mate and put them in half litre pots for a few weeks till they root. Once rooted I'll transplant them into 5 (US) gallon buckets. My question is.........are the half litre pots big enough?
