AirFlow through DIY carbon filter

Hi Guys!

I hope one of you guys out there, are able to enlighten me a bit on this point.
My grow room is 0,8m3 and the fan i'm using is 98m3/h - the "fanline" from end of carbon filter and out of closet is about 2feet long.

But! there is very little air movement through the filter, i drilled like 50-70 holes into the plastic tube that i'm using. What i'd like to know is, do i need a bigger fan, or maybe make a better filter? Like metal mesh?

Well, think i solved the problem kinda. I made a new filter, this time with metal mesh. and same amount of carbon. still very little suction through the filter, but better than before. conclusion = bigger fan.
