I have a 7x12' room that I'm dividing up for veg, flowering and drying/curing. My flowering room will be 5x7' and 6' tall. My thoughts are 1 600w MH for when the plants just come into the room and for the 2nd stage I was planning on a 600w HPS for the final flowering stage. From what I've researched that still wont put me at the "optimum" lumens per square foot. Should I just put in a 1000w MH for the first stage of flowering? Since a 600w MH is hard to find. Am I doing the calculations wrong? 170000 lumens divided by square foot(35)=4857 lumens per square ft. What I read 7000 lumens per square ft is "optimum". I plan on 24 plants being in the flowering room at once. So they'll cover almost every inch of space available. And my goal is to have a never ending cycle.
