Long gone are the times where marijuana users where described as lazy, overweight, and spaced out. The stereotypes seem to change as many athletes start to consume cannabis before they start to work out. Weight lifters use it also after their workout to relax, but also to cure serious pains for injuries. Consuming marijuana helps your muscles recover.

It is well known that Cannabis has a lot of benefits and one of them is that it raises our metabolism. CBD has the ability to speed up our metabolism and as a result, we can actually burn more fat faster.

Nowadays, it shouldn't surprise us that there is a great number of athletes using cannabis in order to enhance their abilities, not only during various competitions, but during training too. Because of that, places where athletes can be free to use cannabis may be just the thing it was missing from the market right now, but that could be solved soon - Power Plant fitness is going to be the world's first marijuana-friendly gym. Please note that this is by no means a gym founded only for lazy weed smokers. No, this is for those who want to mix healthy cannabis benefits with sports practicing. After all, World Anti-Doping Agency didn't list marijuana as a banned substance for nothing.

The gym should be opened soon in San Francisco, CA. Members will be allowed to use marijuana, because Power Plant Fitness wants to put to end stereotypes about "lazy tokers".

Also, members of the gym can eat all kinds of cannabis-made products, as they are going to enhance the whole experience.

Jim McAlpine, one of the co-founders of the Power Plant Fitness, states: "It won't be a place to get high and just screw around. We are focused on the athletic side, not the cannabis side."

Power Plant Gym will also provide different kinds of cannabis infused creams. Cannabis creams seem to work against pain better than many painkillers and additionally they don't bring the side effects that pills cause.

Power Plant Fitness is not only going to enable its members to enjoy all the privileges of gym using, as Tech Insider reports. They are are going to use so-called "marijuana performance assessment". This is going to help them work individually with every member, and decide which kind of marijuana infusing would be best suitable for the gym users. As McAlpine stated for Tech Insider, marijuana is considered to be "tool for focus and recovery".

Instead of smoking, the gym is going to try to persuade their members into eating their favorite cannabis infused edible or just vaping cannabis. It would be a good start to destigmatize cannabis. As the list of states making their laws more liberal and tolerant for cannabis either for (mostly) medical use, but also for recreational purposes, many people choose their favorite cannabis seeds to grow their own plants.

It has been confirmed by many sportsmen that marijuana provides them with a feeling of relaxation and improves their focus, and as a result helps them improve their performance. Also, pain-relieving effects of marijuana have a great impact in recovery from different injuries. Artificial stimulation of endocannabinoid system by marijuana means that reducing tiredness and mental exhaustion are easier after some cannabis consumption. According to one of the founders, the gym is going to work with their members on discovering the best way for marijuana ingesting. For the beginning, different kinds of edible products and cannabis vaping are going to be available only inside the gym. However, if everything goes well, Power Plant Fitness intends to create a space for the outdoor marijuana usage some time in the future, because San Francisco city laws, together with county laws, are going to be changed during next few years. Before even opening the gym, founders need to see the best way to legally offer marijuana products, because California law suggests there is a possibility they need to be listed as a dispensary lounge.
