The Santa Ana Police Department is conducting an internal investigation after surveillance cameras appeared to capture police officers eating marijuana-laced edibles during a raid at a medical marijuana dispensary.

The video appears to show at least one officer eating a marijuana-infused edible during a raid at the Sky High Holistic dispensary in Santa Ana last month.

Attorney Matthew Pappas, who edited and released the video, plans to sue the city on behalf of Marla James, a patient who claims she was grossly mistreated at the dispensary during the raid, according to VoiceOfOC, which first obtained the video.
The video also appears to show officers attempting to dismantle at least one surveillance camera, and later, playing darts. At one point, a female officer appears to make a threatening remark about James, an amputee.

"You know what, I was really nice to that woman," James told Orange County Weekly. "I even complimented her on her hair. I treated that woman with respect and I have no idea why she wanted to kick my stump."

The Santa Ana Police Department said it is not clear whether the item the officer ate was infused with marijuana, but an investigation remains ongoing.

he Sky High Holistic dispensary reportedly anticipated the police raid, and had installed hidden cameras to capture it.

"I'd like to see the police officers disciplined for the behavior that goes on here," Pappas told KTLA5. "I'd like to see the city stop engaging in illegal conduct."

Some good those ski masks did. Now we all know what they look like. lol. These punks want to be badass bullies but are too cowardly to show their faces. smh

These police behave more like a legalized gang than professional law enforcement officers. If they weren't wearing police uniforms one would be justified in thinking they were a gang pillaging a small business. Their demeanor and thuggish behavior are evidence that many of them have sociopathic traits found among members of criminal gangs. Legal gangs and criminal gangs: two sides of the same coin.

If there is a dispute that those officers stole and ate mediables then give them a THC urine/blood test. Should turn up positive for THC metabolites.

I think that's the real story- is that they were caught in camera because the business owners thought ahead. Cops love for there to be cameras everywhere- just not pointed at them! I 100% take it for granted that the cops act this way. I'm assuming most of us take it for granted, and unfortunately have seen much worse abuses than a few stolen cookies.

For starters are law enforcement recruits should be given a battery of psychological exams to weed out sociopaths such as those in this video. Cops such as these should loose their jobs and never be allowed to hold a job that carries any weight regarding the law or citizens lives, beyond janitorial work. I am very happy that the shop owners had installed the hidden cameras and would recommend that all dispensaries, grow ops etc. follow their example.
I am assuming that the dispensary was legal under the law and as such how did these thugs get a warrant or was there no warrant?
