i took cuttings a few weeks ago and realized i had too many and put the on the top shelf of my cloning closet to die, to my surprise today i looked at them and they had rooted and begun to bud, is it worth my time to "pot" these to allow them to flower or would it be a waist of time?

I agree 100%. If you have the space to let them grow, do it.
If it grows enough to pack a bowl or two, it's worth it IMO.

They got shocked! Yeah I call it cherry picking. I put 1 gallon plants and keg cups on shelves around perimeter of bloom room (shelves now gone) or beneath canopy in a semi open area.
This last harvest I got almost 3 ozs off a 1 gallon just over 2.5 that's a personal record for me in a 1 gallon.
