3-14 days nyuk nyuk too true, lotsa variables and successful variations in technique. I never mist them but haven't lost any so far. Wet starter cubes under 23w cfl. Uncover asap, wilting is the cue that says not yet. I've been rude to them, they've never knuckled. New growth marks a healthy 'start'. Whenever it happens is how long it takes. I'm not hugely experienced, maybe 50 cuttings all told, but I suspect most drama is behind efing with them too much. They need time so give it to them.
