how do i use coco peat blocks, iv bin told i just add water till it turns into soil, and then do i just plant into that or can i mix it with other compost?

you add water and it expands. I use a flathead screwdriver and hammer to chizel off a piece and use just what I need. a 2x2" square will expand to about 2 x 3" pots. It expands, but is a SOILESS medium. Hydroponic. You will need to use a high end fertilizer and MUST have CAL-MAG onhand. You can mix it to your hearts desire or use it as is. I recommend using it with 25% perlite to help the Coir from compacting in long term uses. Its not too much of a problem though in a short term grow like SOG or such. Coco COIR is my medium of choice since it promotes more horizontal root growth than most hydroponic mediums, but it soes tend to be a little more difficult since it can hold nutrients, and seems to need alot of calcium, magnesium , and Iron. like I said, CALMAG!!
