Cutting my Big Plant

I've got an outdoor plant, that was grown by accident... Well, a few months later, this plant has become huge ( about 8.ft or so) and as big around as a nice full christmas tree. Well,. it's shot above my fence line, and the lady of the house does not like it being so damn big. It's healthy as hell, and I dont do a single thing to it. It IS FEMALE, and has started showing me frosty hairs on the bud sites, but no real buds yet... I've gotta do something about this thing, but dont want to lose the plant.. What can I do??? how big of cuttings can I make and still keep her?

Bend it over and tie it down. Or you may cut the exposed top off.

I was gonna just cut some off, but how much can I cut, and repot? It's growing out the ground as of now, but if I cut some off, will it re-root? Or is it just lost vegetative growth?

I guess I'm asking what's the biggest cut I can make that will re-pot? Is there a limit on size?

the smaller it is the easier/quicker it will root. i would do average size, you know, 4-8 inches.

You should probably just bend it over if it is already starting to flower.
