In Jackson, the debate over how the city will deal with medical marijuana continues.
A committee of city council members met Tuesday to look at two different ordinances. One would allow patients to use and grow medical marijuana at home, the other only allows for it to be used.
The pressure is on to make a recommendation to the council as a whole since the moratorium ends in August.
"I don't know why we are dragging around. I just want us to deal with it and make a decision. And no more moratoriums," said Council Carl Breeding, City Affairs Committee Chair.
The committee did not decide on a recommendation Tuesday, but plans to next Tuesday at a special meeting before the council meets.
