An area marijuana dispensary's high hopes took a big hit Thursday afternoon after a raid by the Solano County Sheriff's Office.

The raid was part of an ongoing four-month investigation that involved six different Northern California locations and resulted in three arrests and the confiscation of large amounts of marijuana and cash, said Lt. Gary Faulkner, public information officer for the Sheriff's Office.

Cindy Harris, 42, of Novato, was arrested on suspicion of five counts of marijuana sales, possession of marijuana for sale and conspiracy.

Harris was taken into custody at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in Fairfield and is believed to be the owner of both the Tree of Life dispensary in Fairfield and a second dispensary of the same name in Sebastopol.

Authorities also arrested two Sebastopol residents, Chad Grimm, 24, and Jennifer Ryan, 26, at the Sebastopol dispensary on suspicion of sales of marijuana and conspiracy.

Officers arrived at the dispensary located in the 4200 block of Lozano Lane in Fairfield at about 8 a.m.

With the Sheriff's Office's mobile command center parked in front of the building tucked away among warehouse-style tile and electrical distributors, officers spent the majority of the day conducting their investigation and collecting evidence.

Simultaneous raids were also carried out in Napa, Ukiah, Novato and San Leandro, Faulkner said.

The Solano County Sheriff's Office, along with officers from the Vacaville and Fairfield police departments and four other law enforcement and narcotic agencies, worked in conjunction with the District Attorney's Office to obtain both search and arrest warrants before carrying out the sting, Faulkner said.

"At this point, we have a lot of evidence that we're still sorting through," he said. "We seized a lot of marijuana and a lot of money."

Two of the suspects taken into custody were the subjects of the existing warrants while the third was arrested on what Faulkner referred to as "fresh charges."

Faulkner said that the exact amount of marijuana or money seized in the raid was still unknown, and authorities likely will not have those numbers until sometime next week.

The three suspects were booked into Solano County Jail.

Authorities are continuing their investigation of the case and are pursuing any and all leads.

"This is very much still an active, ongoing criminal investigation and we'll see where this evidence takes us," Faulkner said.
