Dimmable digital ballast compatible?

Hi everyone I was just wondering about my dimmable digital ballast , it has 4 settings 600w/750w/1000w/super lumens can I switch the dial to 600 watt and use a 600 watt globe or do I use the 1000 watt globe it came with and dim that down to 600 watt ? Thanks

For safety, I would use the bulb it came with and dim it. You could inadvertently burn out or overheat a lower watt bulb.

OK sounds good I just read somewhere else that you shouldn't dim a bulb down but there not a dimmable ballast for nothing i suppose lol,I just wanted to put 2 600 watters in a 1.2M X 1.2 grow tent for a more spread of the canopy a posed to just the single 1000 watter. I'll see how it all goes thanks
