Do You Know ViparSpectra KS5000 Can Connect to Your Controller 69?

ViparSpectra KS5000 has available RJ11 ports on the LED driver to work with smart controller by using an adapter. Did you find it?

If you want to add one KS5000 to your smart controller, welcome to our store:

Just bought the AC Infinity UIS Port Type-A Adapter and used it to hook up my ViparSpectra KS5000 to my Controller 69 Pro.

I used a Kill A Watt meter to measure the power draw of the light at various output settings using both the native ViparSpectra driver as well as the Controller 69 controller, and found some interesting results.

Interestingly, I noticed that the UIS 1-10 settings aren't exactly lined up linearly with power output percentages. For instance...

Using ViparSpectra driver:
  • Power output @ 0% = 1W
  • Power output @ 25% = 135W
  • Power output @ 50% = 260W
  • Power output @ 75% = 393W
  • Power output @ 100% = 518W
Using Controller 69 controller:
  • UIS level @ 0 = 1W
  • UIS level @ 1 = 160W
  • UIS level @ 2 = 221W
  • UIS level @ 3 = 274W
  • UIS level @ 4 = 332W
  • UIS level @ 5 = 383W
  • UIS level @ 6 = 425W
  • UIS level @ 7 = 470W
  • UIS level @ 8 = 516W
  • UIS level @ 9 = 517W
  • UIS level @ 10 = 518W
You'll notice that UIS level 1 is a little over 30% power draw. Also, the 8-10 UIS levels are essentially all 100% power draw. Also, each level doesn't ramp at an equal, linear amount.

Ideally, I was hoping to be able to dial in at more precise percentages, such as 10%, 20%, 30%, etc. The fact that I cannot even dial in my light at lower than 30% for my seedling phase is kind of ridiculous.

Is there some kind of update that can be pushed to the Controller 69 to be able to get more finely-tuned UIS levels for these external devices?
