Do you think my HPS light is too close?

Just moved it down a little, one of my babies were stretching for light, do you think this 150 watt hps is too close? how far should i keep it? any advice would be greatly appreciated

If you cant see the tape measure, its only 9 inches away

Yes but then they are really stretching for the light, i did the hand thing and i cant really feel the heat against my hand.

I guess what i'm trying to say is how do you know if its too high or too low?

Looks just fine for 150w hps to be honest...


Ya get better results with MH or 6500k cfl/T5 for veg tho...

HPS has a nack off making the plants stretch !

The Hps chart says for 150 watt optimal range is with in 4-12 inches.
