I apologise if this has been covered elsewhere on 420.
It amazes me just how many people buy their 'grow stuff' off Ebay with no thought as to the consequences.
It doesn't take a genius to see that someone regularly buying: HPS lights, hydroponic equipment, nutrients, pipes/hookahs, PH testers and any other 'grow/smoking paraphernalia', is not buying it for 'novelty' purposes or to grow orchids in their closet.
What is worse is when people use Paypal or other electronic payment systems to pay for their purchases...this is providing written proof of the purchases for the cops.
Ebay are under obligation to give out your name/address/details on request to the police if you are under suspicion of carrying out illegal activities, and a raid (bust) could soon follow.
I cannot comment on the way the law enforcement agencies conduct themselves in the U.S, Canada etc, but here in the UK police are now actively monitoring Ebay and investigating 'suspicious activities'.
It's not just nosey neighbours, the gas man, landlords and ex-mates who can get the cops calling on you...you can unwittingly do it to yourself!
So as they say in Hill Street Blues....'lets be careful out there!'
(i hope i haven't broken any 420 rules by posting this thread, my intention was to give a 'heads up' to people who had never considered the consequenses of using Ebay for their gear).
