Former NBA player Jose Ortiz was arrested in Puerto Rico after federal agents seized 218 marijuana plants and 40 round of assault-rifle ammunition at his home.
The 47-year-old Ortiz was charged with possession with intent to distribute the plants. He faces a minimum of five years in prison if found guilty.
Ortiz, who lives in Cayey, Puerto Rico, played two seasons for the Utah Jazz - the last in 1990.
