Fermenting jaggers or mollasses

I get both at same price and jaggery says it contains more minerals than mollasses. As it has a mollasses content too I wondered if jaggery would be better for fermenting ? It seems both can be used interchangeably but are both Inherrantly different
 
NuttyProfessor mentioned jaggery quite often but he is no longer here.

I don't know what jaggery is, but the function of the molasses is to feed the microbes doing the work with some sugar, so assuming the jaggery is similar it probably would work fine.

Jagg is the main sugar made mollasses is the byproducts from the production of jaggery it has similarnproperties but more nutrition
