First Grow Concerns

I have my first grow here that I wanted to kno, does PH play a part in color for the plant? If so what type bottles water should I use. Also I have herd is it good to give your plant a cap full of milk every few days? I haven’t tried this and I don’t kno my PH number when I water because I use faucet water mixed with Deer Park water. I Use a Home aid grow box with 100W blue light in Miracle Grow potting soil, and a tiny fan about 30 minutes a day. Any pointers? Date from Germination to soil July 25th to now August 8th
