I’m new to growing in doors,my first auto grow ever 25 days in plants are doing very well from what I can tell buding nicely...I don’t know anything about ph....my well water is very hard so I have a water softener which I dump a type of salt in by the bag full....so I have been getting well water from the faucet before the filters to avoid the softened water....I order a nice ph meter and checked both...well water was 7.45....and the softener water was 6.85? What the hell do I do get ph down? I’m totally lost
Thanks

You were right to avoid the softened water - it will likely be high in Sodium.

White vinegar can be used to temporarily lower pH. But don’t let it sit before using. Depending on how hard your water is, it could take anywhere between 1/4 tsp to a few teaspoons per gallon.

Even better is a pH down product. They are usually based on phosphoric acid, and are more stable.
