First time indoor grower

had some serious stretch problems. Im not home to keep a close eye on things.
But its all a learning curve.
Next grow will make a propper journal.

When i flipped to bloom they stretched like crazy. Guess lights should have been lower.

Then i got thrips too from bringing a seedling from the garden. So not been good at all.

Ok so now a plan has been made to sort out those plants that streched so much.
My buddy made a scrog to flatten them out and make more growing space. So stolked.

looking a lot better now. Will update with more pics soon as i get them.
Feeling a lot better about them today.

Do u think the lights should be lower? They about 20cm from scrog. Worried about lower buds and light. But think it is going to help alot.

As you may have noticed, I hardly defoil at all. Thats because I believe the plants know best themselves. I believe the plants redistribute the energy from leaves to the bud sites. Even if some of them get blocked and reduced light intensity due to leaves. My approach reduces yield slightly indeed but after reading a little bit in the doc bud thread I learned that leaving the leaves on the plants actually increase quality of the end product. I had a feeling the plants need their leaves but I could never say for sure why. Now I know you get a higher brix level.

Feeling like a school boy again and everything I thought I knew about this needs to be updated.

Ok so this is the final product. A friend did a quick job for me.

lights very close to top of scrog. But need to get light to lower buds .

the little ladies showing us their stuff.

trips have gone so far , what you seen on leaves is left over from home made insect spay. Seems to have worked.
So what you think.

All in all I do think the scrog is going to help. You do get more light - Can clearly see that on your photos. Wonder if I should use a net next time just to have a form of plant support. Now I will have to put sticks everywhere to support the plants. That I did not have to do when I scrogged

When you need to make a plan fast funny things happen. . now the higher buds closer to lower buds. That sounds good. And have got some more breathing room as far as raising my lights.
