From blurple to white!

So long story short I'm still on my first grow but I'm always looking to improve upon what I currently have. Lighting was first on the list right next to a bigger "tent".
When I decided to start growing shortly after becoming legal in Canada I went ahead and got a 4x4 tent package.
Didn't take long to realize I needed more.... More light and more space!

I went back and forth numerous times on what type of light to go with.... Cobs, strips, qb etc.
I finally decided on strips.
Took the 4x4 build from led gardener using the bridgelux eb 2 4 foot strips.

So to keep it simple I found a metal peg board to use for a frame. 1 inch wide aluminum by 1/8 inch thick for heatsink with 1/2 inch wide C channel aluminum thermal taped to backside off flat aluminum.
The strips are actually 44"long so I cut 45" lengths and thermal taped to aluminum.
12x strips total.
Hlg-480h-42A driver
Inline AC multimeter
Inline DC multimeter
Power switch
All mounted on top side of frame
Eyelets in the corners and hung in the current tent.
If interested I can post more info, otherwise I just wanted to document how easy it is to DIY!

Digi-key. Most other stuff from the jungle site and locally.

You're going to run out of space again I started with a 2x2, then 2x4, then 4x4, then 4x8, now I'm considering a 10x10 for a dedicated veg space. I have several wonderful phenos as mother plants now!

Waiting for the day when that’s not an issue! Post a pic of my kid standing next to 7 gallons of boiling wort, no problems. Same pose next to just the lighting associated with mj, and the mod’s buttholes tense up and thoughts of cps shaming me on the evening news.

You're absolutely right, but the wife won't agree with growing more than im allowed so until we split up this is it...

I am almost done the new hut. Gonna paint it, insert some wood dowel thru roof trusses for hanging stuff, minor other things. Pretty much light tight now.

What diodes are they and how many are there. How many watts from the wall. looks seriously BRIGHT.

224 diodes per strip. At 700mA I pull 370 watts.
