Heat mats?

In my experimentation and research it is best for root development to add a heating pad.
The best method ive used is to put three pencils in between the pad and the bottom of my tray to prevent "cooking" them.

There is a significant differance between using a pad and not using a pad. You want your root zone to stay about 75 degrees F.

If/When you do be sure to keep and extra good eye on your food consumption because the pad tends to create dryer media faster.

I hope this helps Curlew. Keep em Frosty!

Yes it does! May leave it off while gone for a week so as to conserve moisture though! I keep a clear cover over them as well to retain moisture during this early stage as well! Thanks for the help!

for sure leave it off if you are going to be gone. I have to water mine religiously everyday in rockwool with the same system after the second day from soaking cubes originally.
