HI folks, the things is I'm onto my 5th grow now ( Blueberry, D-passion ) with my trust 600watt sodium Ajusterwing (just got new bulb - sumaster 600) and I have also just bought and fitted a HEAT SHIELD. It does seem to make it possible for me to get my light closer to the plants without there being to much heat BUT, on a whole there seems to be less light directly under the shild about 8 inches wide and then the best light is at either side of the shield ?
Is this thing a waster of time ? or is it worth using if you are running out of height only ?
It seems a bit of a trade-off ?
