Help needed!

Hi all I need help to tell me what’s happened here.
The seed casing was stuck so I picked it off which came off very easy (dinner time today)
But the seedling is looking brown.
Light is a 125w CFL.
Someone I know said it’s because it’s fresh.
But any help is appreciated.

Look fine to me. Give a day or so and it will green up .
Not too much water either .

Thank you. I’ve never had to pick a seed casing off before so this look is new on me.
