BridgePort BrewPub in Northwest Portland will host a forum on Hemp for Oregon – A Sustainable Crop for a Healthy Future, on Thursday, May, 5, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Canadian hemp farming expert Kevin Friesen will share lessons for Oregon farmers. There also will be hemp product samples, displays from businesses, hemp hors d’oeuvres, music by The Djangophiles, and petitions to urge the president and attorney general to change federal policy to support industrial hemp farming.
The event, part of the second annual Hemp History Week, is free and open to all ages.
It will be in the Heritage Room at the brewpub, at 1313 NW Marshall Street.
