Dec 20, 2012 #2 D drdoodle New Member I read somewhere a few days ago that 3500 btu per 1000 watt light. but then i just googled 'air conditioner btu per 1000w light' www.weedguru.com • View topic - Growroom Cooling This is long but basically says anywhere from 3500-5000 btu per 1000 watt and other factors(ballasts/outside temperature/insulation) So if you live somewhere hot, plan 4500-5000, if you live somewhere cool, 3500-4500.
