In General, Christie Doesn't Like Pot Decriminalization

It is taking forever for medical marijuana to reach the people in New Jersey who need it. And now Gov. Christie says in general he doesn't like the idea of decriminalizing pot in small quantities. "I'll have to see what the bill looks like if it gets to me," he said, "I won't prejudge it." The vote on the bill in the Assembly was delayed and instead amended to dedicate a portion of the fines to support drug education programs. Not a bad idea. Unfortunately, too much money has been wasted pursuing people for small amounts of marijuana. Too many young lives have been ruined too.
