Indoor main cola

It seems every mag I look at have 2' tall 1 main cola no side branches. These must be cuttings ? . Anyone done this , I know it uses less space in room, as I know bottom branches get little or no light ! do you get as much smoke this way ? This project will be done in grow room not outside as I've got clones ready to go. And it's cold as hell in new york now and there is more thieves than growers around here. Just once would like to catch scum in garden, next year deer cameras everywhere ahead of time !!!

I think the strin of the plant has something to do with this. Aslo you can cut and trim so that your plant is a single stem or have 4 stems or the traditional y shape

I think there are croping techniques for this like SOG or ScrOG. These are very space saving grow techniques.
