Anyone have an opinion on a good light meter?

You should be looking at getting a par meter, which measures Photosynthetically Active Radiation. The part that actually makes your plant grow.

If you have a good voltmeter, you can get by with just the Apogee SQ 120 Quantum Sensor for $155 USD.

Yes, it hooks up to a laptop and you use Apogee's software.

I'm going to take your advice and do 288's in each corner with the 260 in the middle
