Hey guys im new here and had a few questions about lighting for the new tent I'm going to be getting a 5x5 x6.5 tent soon. I will be running a non perpetual grow and I want a light that will veg and flower my plants. I have heard about the dim able 1000 watt ballasts. Could I use one of these dimmed to 400 watts or so and use a mh/ hps for flower and veg? Just looking for someone to steer me in the right direction. Ty in advance

Yes you are correct. You can purchase the dimmable ballast then dim it down to 500 watts (some 400 watts) and you would have MH for veg, HPS for flower. Some people use only HPS as well.
