little black gnats

when my lights came on today i noticed there seems to be a bunch of little black gnat lookin bugs swarming all near the bottom main stem of plants and near the hydoton!! does any1 know what could be the cause of these bugs all of a sudden and are they going to jack my plants up? this is my first grow and i have no idea what to do. please any?

thank you harryred i will go get those items right now at home depot and hopefully this will rid my problems w/ those gnats. again!
