Marijuana is set to become a legal substance in Massachusetts on Thursday, Dec. 15, while remaining illegal on the federal level.
Adam Fine, an attorney who helped write the marijuana law voters approved in November, will be taking questions from MassLive and readers.

Retail pot shops aren't expected to materialize until 2018, but several provisions of the new law go into effect on Dec. 15.
Those provisions include allowing people at least 21 years old to possess up to 10 ounces of marijuana inside their residence and up to one ounce outside.
Smoking is prohibited in the same places tobacco is banned.
You can grow up to six plants inside your home, and a household can have up to 12 plants. (Though that depends on whether you rent or not.)
The law also allows people to gift up to an ounce of marijuana, and that can potentially include seeds and other marijuana products.
