Las Vegas, NV - Federal agents raided several medical marijuana businesses last week.

Some people are asking the mayor of Las Vegas to step in and help.

Every month, Oscar Goodman holds a casual "Coffee with the Mayor" event, so residents can talk about what's concerning them.

Friday, a lot of people were concerned about how they're going to get their prescribed medical marijuana.

After hearing some of those concerns, the mayor admitted that he doesn't really know the federal and state laws. But he said it seems the two are at odds, and patients are getting stuck in the middle.

When we asked how he feels about the issue of medical marijuana, he responded "anything, not just medical marijuana, anything that helps a sick person or someone in pain to have the pain alleviated and it isn't hurting somebody else. To me, that only makes sense. We only go around once, life is short, so why let people suffer when there's a remedy?"

The mayor asked his staff to do some research and set up a meeting for him with federal and state representatives. He says he didn't like the force that was used in last week's raids. So if nothing else, he wants to make sure something is done about that.
