Dr. Sisley, renowned medical cannabis researcher and expert, and medical director, Manoa Botanicals, will lead a series of discussions in Honolulu on the science of medical cannabis and its potential for treating a variety of ailments and diseases on February 25, 26 and 27.

Her 20-year work with veterans has been noted as groundbreaking, and she is the principal investigator for the only FDA-approved research using whole-plant medical cannabis, which studies the beneficial use of cannabis for combat veterans with treatment-resistant post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Her research into medical cannabis led to her now famous dismissal from the University of Arizona.

The session on Saturday, February 27, from 2 to 4 pm, is free and open to the public. It will be held at the Moiliili Community Center at 2535 S. King Street in Honolulu.

Dr. Sisley, who is also president of Scotts Research Institute, has developed a Continuing Medical Education curriculum for physicians on medical cannabis. She has spoken to audiences worldwide about medical cannabis and been featured in numerous media outlets including CNN, Newsweek, Washington Post, New York Times and Military Times.
