Mercury Vapor blaster for HPS

I have tryed everything is there anyway to put a Hps light to a mercury vapor blaster.

Ballast? Don't think so. Ballasts are specific to wattage and bulb type. Some ballasts auto sense or switch between HPS and MH and some are specific to either or. I have not heard of HPS in a MV ballast myself.

Oh so im going to have to get a ballast for the bulb type.

OK I have a Caster 175w-h39 ballast 120v 60hz 3.5a. I got a 150w High Pressure Soduim light Asking for a ANSI s55 ballast. So im going to have to get a ansi s55 ballast right!

The only difference between HPS and MH ballasts is that HPS has an ignighter or something like that, its a matter of wiring in a switch if you know what you are doing to make it be able to run MH. Read up if you are going to do this, I've never tried it but I know enough about wiring to know that I want nothing to do with it.
