New 1500W. HPS 206,000 lumins @ 6.8 amps

We just got 1500 W. HPS. 206,000 lumins and they use 6.8 amps. They are made by Master Blaster. 300 of them were released for the next 4 mon. to test the prototypes and then they will be released. We set up 20 for a total of 4,120,000 lumins, 30,000 W. 100 W. per sq foot. Very Bright, they make a 1000 look dark. They do kick out some heat. We have 6 tons of a/c (3 split units) but looks like we need to get 1 more 2 ton.

Hmmmph. 30,000W? Sounds like you've got one helluva generator. Solar or Diesel?

Why not bring the lights down closer to the plants? Seems like they are too far away to me. Unless they make so much heat that they have to be kept that far away.

With 1500w you can't get them very close. Even 1000w you don't want them closer than about 24 inches. That looks like one of those setups that could really benefit from having water cooled lights.

1500 and 200,000 lumens... umm, that efficient man... just really how bulbs... i suggest that you A/C the room (2 ton is fine) and get a very strong exhaust setup for the room... your cooling setup looks maxed for the lights
